Opportunities

We were recently offered the chance to buy a tract of abandoned mine land. But we don’t see a giant pile of coal slag. Our vision is to transform these acres into the Yough River Recreation Complex. The project will result in opportunities to host leagues, rec programs, and tournaments for multiple outdoor sports like lacrosse, baseball, soccer, etc. But we’ll also incorporate outdoor recreation events like kayaking, tube floats, fishing, and biking.  

To complete the property sale and begin the cleanup of the site we need to raise $200,000 by the end of March 2026. This is a grassroots effort with an incredibly short timeline. But every dollar is one step closer to a clean river and a new home field.
